Brawl Stars Balance Changes (September 2019)

    brawl stars balance changes

Every one two two months, we see some balance changes in Brawl Stars and I always will give you some more information how these changes will affect the single brawlers as well as the whole meta in Brawl Stars.

Normally, Supercell will take a look at the brawlers that have the highest win rate and give them a nerf while the brawlers that are not performing well get a buff – but let’s jump right into the most recent balance changes πŸ™‚

    Balance Changes September 2019

With the introduction of Sandy and the two new game modes there also have been several balance changes for the Star Power that I want to deliver my two cents on:

    Barley

Barley’s Medical Use Star Power will increase the healing from 300 to 400. This Star Power is already pretty strong but it looks like more people prefered to use his Extra Noxious Star Power and wanted to balance that out (but maybe the reason is because just more had the Extra Noxious because it was available earlier…). Anyway, if you have Medical Use it’s now time to use it.

    Crow

Both of Crow’s Star Powers get a buff – Carrion Crow 20% more damage and Extra Toxic 33% more debuff to enemies. This will make Crow overall more useful and he had the lowest win rate according to stats above 500 trophies in all game modes before these balance changes and could come back to the game with it.

    Nita

Hyper Bear Star Power will also get 20% more attack speed. This is actually not a huge impact overall and except for Heist the Bear with me Star Power is still the better choice if you ask me. If you have the Hyper Bear Star Power you should now think about using it when doing a Heist match.

    Pam

Pam will get a main attack damage buff of 8% and this can bring her back to business. She has a very low win rate at the lower trophy ranges and wasn’t even used in the high trophy ranges much and could now become more viable with this buff.

    Rosa

Rosa will gain 560 additional health and her Thorny Gloves Star Power will also gain an addition 10% damage buff as well. The health buff will make her survive one more additional shot from Brawlers like Bibi, Gene, Leon, Nita, Penny and Poco – all brawlers that are in the meta right now. After the recent nerfs she got she was pretty on the ground and I think it’s a good point to make her balanced.

    8-bit

I think we don’t need to talk about how incredibly overpowered 8-bit and that he needs a nerf – and with this round of balance changes he will get a 0.2s slower reload speed.

I’m not sure if that seals the deal and actually I think that there will be more nerfs to him in the next balance changes but I think Supercell didn’t want to nerf him to the ground right away.

    Bibi

The Home Run Star Power that will give her an insane speed when fully charged her homerun bar will also get a nerf and only add 12% instead of 15% additional speed. This is not the biggest nerf and makes her still faster than any other brawler without using an ability and I don’t see that changing much in how strong she is.

    El Primo

His Meteor Rush Star Power also get a nerf and now only boost speed by 28% instead of 32% after using his super with this round of balance changes. As with Bibi, I don’t think this will change much in the overall power and viability.

    Mortis

Mortis Coiled Snake Star Power, one of the strongest Star Powers in Brawl Stars, will take additional 0.5s to charge and this might come to play in specific maps or interacting in certain teams. It’s hard to tell how this actually changes how Mortis powerforms until we can actually experience it in real matches after the balance changes.

    Piper

Snappy Sniping Star Power will get an additional nerf and the bonus reload will decrease from 0.4 additional ammo to 0.3 additional ammo. I think this is important as spamming shots have become a little too hard to deal with lately with that Star Power and this nerf feels right and won’t nerf it to the ground but makes it realistic to deal with when there’s a Piper in the enemy team.

    Shelly

Shelly’s Band Aid Star Power will get another nerf in these balance changes. It was a full health heal before the last balance changes and was 2,000 health before today’s balance changes. Now it will be 1,800. It was still a great Star Power and this 10% nerf won’t change much about it, in my opinion.

    Tick

His Automa-Tick Star Power will only reload 13% faster instead of 15%. This is not much and won’t change much and with this Star Power, Tick will still be a strong and viable Brawler to use after these balance changes.

    Carl

Here we go again, another round of balancing Carl… His main attack will get 3% additional damage. This will help him take several brawler out with one less hit. In return, his main attack will get a cooldown of 0.5s (including the time when the axe is in the air) and this will impact spamming his attack right in front of a wall (especially in Showdown to get some chests really quick). Fells right if you ask me and he will still be a really strong brawler after this balance change.

    Poco

The Da Capo Star Power gets 100 more healing while the damage from the Screeching Solo Star Power will deal 200 less damage. In my opinion this doesn’t change much and Screeching Solo is still the better Star Power and the one you should use, it will now only deall a little less damage.

PS: If you want to know the actual strengths and which Star Powers you should use on each Brawler you might want to check out my full ranked list of all Star Powers here.

    Balance Changes August 2019

Welcome to the latest round of balancing changes in Brawl Stars with the August 29th, 2019 update and we have a lot of balancing of the new additional Star Powers but also some general adjustments to several brawlers.

Here’s what I think about it.

    Carl

carlCarl gets 8% faster attack speed and his Protective Pirouette is going from 30$ to 40%. Cals is going back and forth in the balance changes between getting buffed and nerfed and hopefully he will get to a point where he’s finally balanced. These changes make a lot of sense and could be the small tick that makes him perfect.

    Bo

Bo’s Circling Eagle Star Power now will add 3 tiles further sight in bushes than 2 tiles – a really good change but we’ll see how this will turn out in fights and if that makes that Star Power superior to his Snear A Bear Star Power.

    Colt

The Slick Boots Star Power will now increase his speed by 10% instead of 8%. Not that much of a change but will make him faster than the tanks but slower than many other brawlers and this is still not the Star Power to use with him so I think there needs to come more than that to make Slick Boots the better Star Power for Colt.

    Pam

Both her Star Powers got a decent buff and now heal more/deal more damage. I personally think the Star Power Mama’s Hug is pretty useless still with this buff as healing is simply not that important and enough to keep up with the additional damage Mama’s Squeeze deals.

    Brock

brockHis Incendiary Star Power will now deal more damage when the rockets sets the ground on fire. This won’t make Incendiary a better choice over the” Rocket. No Four” Star Power but it can be useful in Heist mode to keep the ground under the safe on fire.

    Tick

His range will be increased to 12 tiles and the mines now have a bigger radius – this means you can now hit one brawler with all 3 mines simultaniously.

I think this will make Tick finally a brawler that’s easier to play and also it makes it harder to dodge his shots. He won’t be OP with this buff but will get into the range of reasonable brawlers πŸ™‚

    El Primo

His El Fuego Star Power will deal 200 more damage when burning a brawler. It’s a nice additional if you use it but the damage overall is relatively small compared to the total damage his punches deal so it won’t change much in my opinion.

    Frank

His Sponge Star Power gains additional 1000 health and in my opinion this is simply useless – once because this is not the Star POwer to take with Frank and second because 100 hitpoints when talking about 8k+ hitpoints is nothing more then homeopathic.

    Rosa

Rosa gets 4% extra hitpoints and this should help her get back on track – I’ve seen her struggeling lately with Shelly’s Band Aid Star Power – still, it’s not that much that she will get back to the most OP brawler in Brawl Stars ????

    Spike

His Star Power Fertilize will heal 20% more and as this is the Star Power to use with Spike it’s a decent buff for all of you that love playing with Spike. Will not crush the meta but a small gift is a gift, right? πŸ˜‰

    Tara

taraThis is one of my favorite changes here and that’s not that Tara’s Black Portal version gets more health, it’s the improved AI of the Healing Shade super that now doesn’t heal brawlers with full health anymore. This makes it a lot more useful and is a true thumbs up change!

    Bibi

This is a balance change that I personally don’t understand. I don’t. Bibi is already super strong and now her Batting Stance Star Power gets 40% instead of 30% heal. Ok, it’s for those that have the Star Power but I don’t understand why she needed that buff actually. If you want to play Bibi do it now, I’m really sure she will get a big nerf in the next balance changes!

    Leon

His Star Power Invisiheal that will heal him got a 33% buff and will now heal for 2400 health and I think it might get a solid alternative to Smoke Trails now as you can now use his super to actually escape and survive. Really interesting to see how this balance change out in the meta.

    Shelly

Yes, that was more than expected! Shelly’s Band Aid Star Power now only heals 2,000 health instead of full health – come on, Supercell, what did you thought when initially making that Star Power that give her a second life?! It was way too powerful and now it’s in the region of being somewhat balanced.

    Mortis

His Coil Snake Star Power dashes now 25% less (1.75x instead of 2x). This was also no surprise and the dash was pretty strong and I think this will not break Mortis but, well, put him back to earth and make him more balanced in the current meta.

    Poco

His Screeing Solo Star Power now deals 20% less damage to enemies but will still be the Star Power to use with him because not many people expect the damage from him and get catched off-guard by it. Made fun when it got released and is still the stronger one.

    Darryl

He gets his basic attack reworked and will now shoot from the center (so you can now shoot like Bull or Shelly with him). This will make it a lot easier to aim and hit targets that are close to him.

I like this balance change and it might get Darryl to a point where actually could get a mainstream brawler, finally.

Of course I will turn these changes into my Brawl Stars Tier List and my Star Power Tier List as well – so have a look there πŸ™‚

    Balance Changes June 2019

We just say some balance changes and they are not small at all and will change several things – in perticular the OP-ness of some brawlers like Rosa and Carl will come back to a more normal level.

    Bo

In these balance changes, Bo will get 4% more damage from his main attacks and this will help him a little bit – he will also now need 10 hits to charge up his super instead of 11. Also not a really big change since he will still land 4 full attacks with his 3 arrows. If you’re a frequent Bo player you will like it but I don’t see that this balancing changes much for the meta in general.

    Dynamike

Dynamike will get a 10% damage buff for his main attack in this balance changes but this is also not really a game-changer to keep up with Barley and the new brawler Tick that are still a lot better in controlling the field – I think we need more than that to make Dynamike stand out of the field.

    Ricochet

Rico will be one of the winners of these balance changes! He will get 7% more damage for his main attack and his super plus his Star Power will get 25% more damage increase. That’s a lot. When looking at the current meta this won’t change that much for the main field of players since Rico is not a brawler you see that often, but in the higher trophy ranges there are more player using him (well) so that’s where he will become a really tough guy to handle.

    Mortis

He gets a 4% faster reload speed and I really don’t see that bringing him back into the field – he is already not easy to play and tricky to master and in the current meta you will see Rosa and Bibi a lot, his direct counters. I don’t think that this buff is enough and he probably needs a more significant buff to keep up there.

    Shelly

20% longer duration of her Star Power that slows down enemies after getting hit by Shelly – and I really think this is a perfect buff for her. Shelly is really strong in the lower trophy ranges but gets quite weak in the higher ones because many know how to deal with her. Buffing her Star Power – something that is more used in the higher trophy ranges – makes completely sense and might bring her back into the game there. For most players this won’t change much.

    Penny

I’m an avid fan of her so this change here is something I really like – her Star Power now don’t randomly shoots 6 bombsΒ 4 bombs when her cannon gets destroyed (the most useless Star Power in the game so far!), it will now target nearby enemy brawlers πŸ™‚ This doesn’t mean you can’t get away or that destroying her cannon will become a suicide mission, you can still do it but need to be more careful.

This can become a game changer because her cannon now will stay active longer plus can deal a couple thousand damage if the enemy brawler is not careful! Also, placing it near the safe in Heist or the IKE in Siege will land all of them if no other brawler will cover the damage with his life!

    Frank

He will get a 20% buff on his star power extra damage and also 25% diuration buff on it – this makes this star power a lot more useful because it was often times that the extra damage after taking someone down wasn’t simply long enough to get a real benefit from it – Frank player will like that but I don’t see that making a lot changes to the meta.

    Carl

carlCarl is getting some major nerf in this round of balancing changes with dealing 9% less damage with his main attack plus 19% less speed bugg from his star power. This means that almost all brawlers will require one more hit now from his axe to get killed and this will really bring him back to earth.

Carl used to be THE strongest brawlers so far so I think this nerf was no surprise and I still think he will be a strong brawler, but that makes him more balanced.

    Gene

His super range will be 7.66 tiles instead of 9 tiles but in return interrupt the healing process of the pulled brawler. So this might feel like a nerf but it can also help him, because often times you pull an enemy brawler with Gene that is healing right now, so the brawler would gain extra health on the way and might be still too hard to kill.

This nerf will perticulally nerf him in Gem Grab where he was a beast pulling the gem carrier of the enemy team, but I still see him very strong in the meta with thse balance changes.

    Rosa

Another balancing that is not surprising as Rosa was still overpowered after the lans balancing changes. She now has 4% less damage from her main attack and needs one extra hit to charge her super – this will not change that much because you still need 4 full attacks to charge her super but I know think she is somewhat beleanced in the meta.

    Bibi

Bibi gets 5% more health and this will help her against her direct counters like El Primo or Rosa where she can survive one extra hit now. In return, her Star Power will get nerfed by 20% which makes her insane speed a little more balanced, before she was just too crazy fast.

    Darryl

His health is getting buffed by 10% and this will help him survive one extra attack from many brawlers – in return, his shield will get nerfed by 25%. Overall this will make him more on option for many players since he was not really good without his star power but strong with it – now he’s getting more useful before having is star power.

So, looking forward to discuss the changes with you in the comments below πŸ™‚

Star Power Guide – How To Unlock & Which Ones Are The Best

brawl stars best star power to use

The Star Power is the last piece to make a brawler as strong as possible, enhancing the brawler with a permanent bonus.

Some Star Power are very useful and will make your brawler a lot better compared to the same level brawler that hasn’t got the Star Power – while others aren’t that useful.

In this guide I want to give you all you need to know about the Star Power in general, how to get a Star Power for a certain brawler or in general faster plus my personal recommendations which Star Powers of the available Star Powers are best for each Brawler.

    Let’s go.

    Which Star Powers Are Good?

Here’s my recommendation to help you decide which Star Power you should get for every brawler in Brawl Stars.

I also put a tier rank in the grade row to help you see how much impact a Star Power has on that brawler:

    Brawler Grade Star Power Description
S Shell Shock is a great Star Power that will slow down enemy brawlers and help Shelly catch up with them, but Band Aid is one of the best Start Powers in Brawl Stars (even after the nerf). It will give her half of a second life and makes her so strong that she is still one of the most powerful Brawlers with her Band Aid Star Power.
    A
A Hyperbear is not a really good Star Power overall with the faste damage her bear deals – I’d always go with Bear with me Star Power simply because enemy brawlers don’t actively avoid her bear that much and healing back and forth between Nita and her bear is useful in many situations.
    B
S Colts Star Power either increase his attack range and speed of his bullets or his movement speed – after all I think the extra range and damage is the more powerful ones and also one of the most useful Star Powers in Brawl Stars while Slick Boots only make him a little faster but not as fast as the fast brawlers in the game.
    A
A Bulls both Star Powers are really useful and actually there’s no clear favorite here. I think it’s more about your play style and favorites what you pick although I’d say that the additional damage with Berserker is a little more helpful in most game modes.
    A
S Energize is for sure the Star Power to go here, although Shocky is also not a bad Star Power at all. Energize is just really strong because you can not only hel up your turret, you can also use your turret as a range extender – imagine your turret now acts like a normal enemy brawler but get healed when your shots hit it.
    A
S Of course Rocket No. Four is the better choice here with one more rocket you can have – this gives you 33% more damage potential and superior in many situations while Incendiary is, well, nothing more than helpful when checking bushes.
    B
S This was a tough choice for me but I’d say that the jumping ability will give you more advantage than the additional damage. Giving your the ability to escape over a wall or obstacle is more handy than adding damage in my opinion (also as the super is already dealing massive damage)
    A
A With Bo you have an easy choice which Star Power is better and that’s Snear A Bear. Stunning enemies for 2 seconds is an almost certain death judgement to an enemy brawler while the Circling Eagle only is helpful on the few maps that have a lot of bushes (and they will get shot down really fast anyway).
    B
A In my opinion it’s a draw here which one you use as both are similar helpful. One is letting you start healing faster and the other will give faster reload speed. If you’d ask me I’d give the faster reload a really small advantage.
    A
S Respawn once every battle on the map where you died? Sounds too strong, right? Not for Supercell as this is what they made for 8-BIT as a Star Power and it’s extremely strong compared to a larger radius for his booster turret.
    A
S Meteor Rush all the way here. El Fuego doesn’t make much impact as El Primo normally takes out an enemy brawler when landing on him so that burn is not helping much. Meteor Rush, however, can make you chain supers and make sure not a single brawler will slip through your fingers (fists).
    B
S Barley has two really strong Star Powers and the choice is not that easy to be honest. I’d give the Extra Noxious a small advantage because the 15% more damage is incredible with every single attack – however, healing 900 health with 3 attacks in Medical Use is also really nice. Take what you like, guys.
    S
S While Da Capo is a solid Star Power, you really want to get your hands on the Screeching Solo Star Power! Your super will deal really good damage now and travel through walls and having a great distance along with the healing (that many enemies ignore anyway) will give you a perfect tool to take out fleeing enemy brawlers or just deal additional damage when you normally would heal your team mates.
    A
A The Plant Life Star Power is the better choice for sure with Rosa. You will heal up so much more and really dominate on maps with many bushes. The Thorny Gloves add damage while her super is active but normally you would take out most brawlers (except the high hitpoint ones) anyway so the benefit is not that big as you might think.
    B
A Both Star Powers are benefitial but I’d still go with the Extra Bouncy. If you have some decent skill to play with Poco you can get a lot of value from the extra damage while bouncing his shots like you normally would do. Running faster from the Robo Retreat is helpful to cover more of the map or to get away to save your life but I’d still prefer the extra damage.
    A
A You really want to go with the shield from Steel Hoops as Barryl is always pretty vulnerable and this helps him survive. The extra shots when using his super from Rolling Reload sounds nice but you normally wouldn’t survive long enough to use them.
    B
A Her Last Blast Star Power is actually a little bit stronger because it makes it really dangerous to take out her turret and you can also use it yourself when placing a new turret to deal extra damage on a robot or safe or clear the middle area in Gem Grab. Setting the ground on fire with Balls of Fire is also helpful though to control a larger part of the map but I will still vote for Last Blast with her.
    A
A The Power Throw Star Power is the better choice with Carl since you will gain damage with the axe returning faster all the time while the Protective Pirouette will onyl reduce damage when Carl uses his super.
    B
S Snappy Sniping is such a strong Star Power and will make your blast enemies a lot easier and faster while Ambush only gives additional damage when you’re in a bush and at max range. Obviously this is not that hard of a choice, right?
    B
B I think no other brawler has such useless Star Powers like Pam does. Mama’s Hug will only heal 900 damage when all bullets hit and this is not the case normally so the heal is simply not high enough to give a real advantage. Mama’s Squeeze is even more useless since most enemy brawlers can take out her turret without entering the area.
    B
A His Power Grab will give him insane additional damage but it’s too limited and you won’t take out an enemy brawler that often yourself to actually chain this one, still a solid Star Power. Sponge is pretty useless for me as Frank already has such many hitpoints that this additional ones don’t make a real difference to me.
    B
S The additional speed the Home Run Star Power provides is just incredibly strong and make Bibi dominate so much in most game modes because you’re all over the place and can make quick and powerful ambushes before the enemy brawlers can actually react. Batting Stance is okaish and helpful here and there but nothing compared to Home Run.
    B
S Both of Mortis Star Powers are really strong but Coiled Snake is a little bit better since it is an ability that you will always have instead of relying on killing an enemy brawler. The extra dash range makes him like double as easy to play and double as powerful on the battlefield
    S
S The Healing Shade is so much more powerful (especially since it got improved AI in the latest Balance Changes) and really helps your team whiel the Black Portal shadow version has only so few hitpoints that it won’t make any noticable damage on an enemy brawler.
    B
A Magic Puffs is not a crazy strong Star Power but compared to how awful Pat on the Back is it should be your choice. There’s no way it’s worth it sacrificing Gene’s game-changing super to heal a team mate, and then only for 2,000 hitpoints! Just keep your hands off that Star Power until Supercell decides to make something useful with it.
    B
S While Fertilize is a good Star Power and you will see some nice benefits from it, Curveball is the Star Power you should use with Spike. Every decent player knows how to dodge the spikes and when they start flying in curves it’s almost impossible to dodge them and this will add a lot more damage to Spike in general.
    A
A Both of Crow’s Star Power are good but not any extraordinary. I’d pick Carrion Crow with the extra damage to targets with lower health because that’s the playstlye you use with Crow by grinding them slowly down. Making enemy brawlers deal 10% less damage when poisoned is nice but noething more.
    A
A Although Invisiheal sounds like adding a lot of viability to Leon and healing him up, Smoke Trails is the still the Star Power that you should use because it allows Leon to reach any target on the whole map while invisible and that’s simply stronger than making an escape more here and there.

Now some more tips to unlock Star Powers ????

How To Unlock Star Powers Faster In Brawl Stars

Here’s my general guide that will help you unlock the Star Powers quite well without spending any money on it – and in average you should be able to get one new Star Power within 2 weeks (when taking the drop rate and how much boxes you can get with it – token doubler or boxes you buy with gems are not included in this calculation and will speed up the progress obviously).

If you have a brawler at Level 9, you can find a Star Power with about 1% chance from every box you will open. When you will get one and you have multiple brawler that don’t have all of their Star Powers unlocked yet, you will randomly get one of those that you’re missing.

    brawl stars all star powers

So here’s the best system to use to make sure you will get those Star Powers and no matter at what point in the game you are, simply apply it πŸ™‚

Get 1 Brawler To Level 9

The first thing to do is to level up one of your brawlers to Level 9 as fast as you can!

Each box you will unlock before you have a brawler at that level might contain a Star Power that you don’t get because you have no unlocked Star Ppowers available!

So, do this as fast as possible (ideally with a brawler you like playing of course) and also get Power Points from the shop for Coins – I know this is not recommended in general but in this case it’s more useful than saving the Coins – and also the Star Points from the Trophy Road.

get power points from the brawl stars shop

Also try not to spend Coins on leveling up any other brawler to save all the coins you have to level that first brawler to Level 9 and get the Power Points from the shop.

Bonus Tip!Β If you haven’t unlocked more than 5 or 6 brawlers yet, try to save up some boxes to open for the Star Power later and focus on the Power Points in the shop, you often get sweet offers with like 200 or 300 or even more Power Points there.

Don’t Buy The Star Power From The Shop

Once you got your first brawler you can now get the Star Power from boxes so now it’s time to open all the boxes you have saved up for now – sometimes you’re lucky enough and unlock it quite fast.

When you have done that and you didn’t get the Star Power, DO NOT GET IT FROM THE SHOP!!!

I know it’s tempting but it will cost you 2,000 Coins and you will need those Coins to level up your next brawler to Level 9!

Show some patience here and I guarantuee you it will be faster in the end than rushing it.

The only exception is when you have more than one brawler at Level 9 at this point and still wait for the Star Power and have a lot of Coins (more than 3,000 or so).

If you buy the Star Power earlier you’re again in the state where you could miss a Star Power from a box because you don’t have any unlocked Star Power and that’s what you want to avoid at any cost πŸ˜‰

Tickets > Token Doubler > Mega Boxes

Each box you open can contain Gems and you will get some with every day you play Brawl Stars.

If you really want to get the most out of it, spend those on the Tickets for events – you can get 60 Tickets for 80 Gems and you can use them in events like Robo Rumble to turn them into 1,500 to 1,800 token easily. That’s two Mega Boxes but a lot higher chances to unlock the Star Power from these boxes.

    Repeat

While you wait for your next Star Power it’s time to work on the next brawler that you want to get to Level 9.

You can now take some more time until you unlock the Star Power for your previous brawler and don’t really need to rush that much. Only level the next brawler up fast once you have all possible Star Powers for (all) your brawlers at Level 9 unlocked.

You can also wait at Level 8 when you want to make sure that you want the Star Power for the previous brawler more than for the brawler you’re leveling up right now.

Here’s the whole system repeats over and over again and makes sure that you won’t miss any Star Power and to not get any Star Power that you don’t want πŸ™‚

So much for the system to get Star Power unlocked, now let’s have a look at the Star Powers that are worth unlocking.

Fastest Way To Push Trophies In Brawl Stars

    brawl stars push trophies

Do you have the feeling that you’re stuck on the Trophy Road in Brawl Stars although you have maybe some brawlers that you already have a Star Power unlocked while others are a lot further and have a much higher trophy rank that you have?

I’ve been recently talking to several players about this that motivated to write this guide here that can easily push you to 5,000+ Trophies.

There’s actually not much skill required and not taht much grinding involved.

Sounds good? Then let’s jump right into it πŸ™‚

    Trophy Pushing Guide

In many games you want to have a few characters that you max out and that will help you to climb the ladder.

So, in Brawl Stars this all works a little differently so I want to show you why having 2-4 brawlers at Level 10 will not get you far and make it even hard to push beyong 3,000 trophies.

The reason is how matchmaking works and that’s what I want to show you now.

    brawl stars trophy road

    Trophy Pushing & Matchmaking

individual trophy count in brawl stars for matchmaking

So, when you will get matched up in Brawl Stars your total trophy count doesn’t really matter much – the single most-important thing is your individual brawler rank. This is the trophy amount that indicates how well you perform with that very brawler.

So it will match you up with teammates of a similar individual trophy count for their active brawler (when you play with randoms) and also your enemy teams.

This means you possibly could end up playing against players that have a much higher total trophy count or a much lower trophy count.

    This is important!

Also, since April playing in random teams has gotten easier because fixed teams will preferably matched agains other teams and less against random teams. This means, if you play with randoms you will nrmally also play against a team that is random so there’s not such a big dissadvantage going with randoms… So forget about the older tips that said “never play with randoms if you want to push trophies”.

I have written a full and detailed article about everything that matchmaking does here if you want to check it out.

So, but now we can get back to trophy pushing…

    Best Way To Push Trophies

Most player have a lot brawler unlocked that they don’t use – you probably as well.

Those brawlers are your key to push trophies fast and easy. These brawlers have no relevant rank and will rank against players that don’t have a lot of experience with their brawler, maybe even total new player πŸ™‚

So, take out one that you like and you also should have enough Power Points to get that fresh brawler to Level 4 or 5 and use it in a game mode where it is strong (see here in the tier list which ones are great in what game modes).

You will be able to win about 80-90% of your matches easily, even when playing with randoms because you will see setups like that all the time.

    easy trophy pushing team

As you can see, msot of them are even only Power Level 1 and as soon as you hit Rank 10-12 when the opponents get tougher you can use another fresh brawler again.

Just count through the brawlers that you haven’t used at all so far and you will see that there’s 2,000 to 3,000 additional trophies possible without much effor πŸ™‚

Also, you will unlock a lot of extra Power Points, Coins, Brawl Boxes and brawler on the trophy road that will help.

Another benefit from pushing your trophies with these low brawlers is that you have them decently leveled up if meta shifts so you can easily pick up one of them when some balance changes buff them to be extremely strong πŸ™‚

    pushing trophies with brawler

Also important – if you play with a brawler of a low rank, you will also not lose as many trophies if you lose a match but gain the +8 trophies if you win – this means you don’t need to win more than 50% of your matches to push, it means you only need to win 20% to break even – or in other words it just is really fast.

I did start Bibi yesterday just for fun and pushed 100 trophies just like that πŸ™‚

    Star Points

Also, every brawler that you get above 500 trophies will get you additional Star Points at the end of the season that you can save up to get exclusive skins that you can’t buy for anything else – in the long run you will have a lot better progress if you use this startegy to push your trophies πŸ™‚

    Brawl Stars Controller That Work

    brawl stars controller

Controller are something that haven’t entered the mobile gaming world quite as much as they should have so far – but in my opinion they should have!

The thing is, holding your phone while playing a game that requires continious input like Brawl Stars for some time will make your hands feel slow – there’s not much comfort in it.

I have spoken to several players and more and more of them start using a mobile controller when playing a session of Brawl Stars so I was getting deeper into the topic and like to show you my results here in this article.

Brawl Stars With Controller – Why?

If you hold your device in the setup that Brawl Stars require, it’s not a very comfortable position and after a few minutes your hands will start feeling slower and slower – and that’s completely natural because it’s far from any natural position.

    brawl stars with controller

How often did you change your position when playing? When I play Brawl Stars for like 30 minutes+ on my sofa, I always change sides back and forth every few minutes.

Also, how often did your phone slip your hands?

A controller offers a lot more support here and you can just hold it for hours straight without any problems.

The advantage is obvious when using a mobile controller with Brawl Stars:

    • Better grip and much more comfort when playing, especially longer session 10+ minutes
    • Faster reaction because your hands/fingers won’t start to slow down
    • Better results because you eliminate the occasional slipping or mis-tapping

    Controller Support In Brawl Stars

Officially there’s no controller support to Brawl Stars (and I doubt there ever will be) – that keeps many people from using it.

The thing is, there’s a difference that you need to understand – if a game doesn’t support controller, mostly controllers like this one are meant as they require the game to accept input signals that not come from the touch screen:

    brawl stars controller support

But here’s the thing, there are a lot of controllers that just will add a better grip and still send the normal touch signals to Brawl Stars so they don’t require official game support because your input will still be the same – they are more like a case for your phone that will give you a better grip πŸ™‚

My Personal Brawl Stars Controller Picks

Here I want to show you two controller that I have used for some time now and how well they worked for me.

Again, they all don’t require any official support from the game as they only will help you holding your device in a much more comfortable way ????

    #1 – GameSir F2 (iOS & Android)

gamesir f2 for brawl stars controllerThe GameSir F2 is quite minimalistic and will add two grip bubbles to the back that will give you more the feel of holding a portable console like the PSP than a smartphone. It feels pretty good and you have a much better grip while you will still make all inputs directly on the touchscreen.

I also like that through holding the smartphone a little differently, you can touch the sections of the walking and aiming joistic a little better.

A real bonus for me is that you can simply fold it and have it in the size of an egg which fits it almost everywhere. If you take it with you all the time is something you need to decide, I personally like it because I don’t break anything on it when I have it in my bag.

It fully works with any device up to 6.4 inches screen size and you simply clip it on the outside – depending on your device and case you not even need to remove your case when using it πŸ™‚

    Pros:

    • Slim & Leightweight
    • Easy To Take With You
    • Cheap

    GET IT HERE ON AMAZON

#2 – Delam Controller With Powerbank & Fan (iOS & Android)

This one here from DELAM is a more advanced model and probably the best option when you primarily play at home on your sofa and love to play longer sessions.

brawl stars controller DELAMIt’s less portable than the GameSir F2 so I wouldn’t recommend it taking it with you but in return it has a better grip and feels a little more like a gamepad when you hold it in your hands.

The biggest benefit here is the built-in Powerbank that has whopping 4.000 mAh that is a extra full battery for your smartphone. I hate to pause my session just because my battery is getting empty and re-charge or find a spot next to a plug – the Delam Controller will simply give you full mobility as you can simply use the built-in Powerbank to charge your phone while playing Brawl Stars ????

The fan is okaish but helpful when you charge and play with your device at the same time, it will heat up. The back of the controller will make heating up a little bit of a problem so the fan will reduce the heating. I never over-heated my device that way but if you have problems with that this controller might come in at the right time πŸ™‚

    Pros:

    • Cooling fan & Powerbank
    • Cheap

    GET IT HERE FROM AMAZON

    Conclusion

If you feel somewhat uncomfortable when playing a longer session I can only recommend you to try out one of the mobile controllers for playing Brawl Stars and I feel that not only my level of comfort improved with it, it also improved my level of trophies in the long run because I can give my best performance all of the time – plus, it’s less than 20 bucks on Amazon and you can return it when you don’t like it πŸ˜‰

    Brawl Stars Drop Rates Explained

    brawl stars odds guide

Progressing and unlocking anything in Brawl Stars is about opening boxes – there’s no other way to unlock new brawlers, get Coins or Gems or Power Points to level your brawlers up.

There is a lot of confusion out there about the odds and chances to get a legendary brawler or a Star Power or anything else inside a Brawl Box, Big Box or Mega Box – that’s why I decided to write this article here to show you all you need to know about that.

    Brawl Star Boxes Drop Rates

Brawl Stars is quite friendly when it comes to F2P players that don’t want to spend any money on the game and one of the reasons for that is how the whole box system with the odds works.

I want to explain that to you as easy as possible – and there are some learnings for you here as well when it comes to what gives you the best drop rates πŸ™‚

    Update!

Supercell changed the system – before the last update your chances to get a brawler have been rising with each box opened – now they are fixed and depend on the number of brawlers you haven’t unlocked!

The odds are fixed and completely rely on how many brawlers you haven’t unlocked yet – the more brawlers you haven’t unlocked the higher your chances to get one.

After all, the “higher” and “lower” chances are more cosmetic – where’s the difference when I have a chance of 1.2% for a legendary brawler or a 1.5% chance? I would need to open millions of boxes (mathematically) to really feel a difference – in reality I just need to open a shitload of boxes to get a legendary brawler and sometimes I’m lucky sooner and sometimes later πŸ˜€

But I’m losing my topic here… I wanted to show you the drop rates πŸ™‚

odds for brawlers in brawl stars

But as I said, the odds are always different and if you have less or more brawler unlocked than I have, you will see slightly different drop rates here.

Broken down here’s the amount of Brawl Boxes that you need to open to unlock a brawler (rounded)*

    Rarity Boxes To Open
    Legendary about 2,400
    Mythic about 1,800
    Epic about 800
    Super Rare about 400
    Rare Brawler about 200
    Star Power about 100

*these numbers are rough indications. As I said, it’s, in reality, no difference if you need to open 4,021 or 4,096 for a Legendary Brawler because random variance will need you to open millions of boxes to get a different result.

Also you have always the chance for additional items in each box:

    • 25% for Event Ticket(s)
    • 9% for Gem(s)
    • 3% for Token Doubler

Those are fixed and not depending on how many brawlers you have or anything else.

    What Boxes Are Best?

The more interesting thing here for me is – is there any difference in the boxes? Some people believe that using Mega Boxes will get them legendary brawler faster…

The truth is, there’s no difference:

mega box in brawl stars big box in brawl stars

Both have the exact same chances and a Mega Box = 10 Brawl Boxes and a Big Box = 3 Brawl Boxes.

The odds are exactly the same so if you open a Mega Box, you will actually open 10 Brawl Boxes – if you open the exact same amount of Brawl Boxes you have exactly the same drop rate to get a legendary brawler or whatever else.

The only real difference between the boxes is that you will get more Power PointsΒ for less brawlers.

Let’s say I open a Brawl Boxes, I always get Power Points for 2-3 brawlers there and when doing that 10 times, I’m sure that I will get Power Points for at least 5-6 different brawlers.

Opening a Mega Box will give me Power Points for 2-3 brawlers, but like 10 times more than from a Brawl Box – so if you want to evenly spread your Power Points or want to get Power Points for a specific brawler the 10 Brawl Boxes are your better choice, because odds that you will get at least some for that specific brawler is higher.

    Conclusion

There’s a lot of micro-math here and I personally am at the point where I don’t care much about this anymore – boxes are limited in the game by the Token and the Star Token so I take any box I can get.

The good thing is, when I have maxed out a brawler I won’t get any more Power Points for that brawler and have higher chances for the other brawlers to get Power Points, so in the end it’s only about opening a large amount of boxes to max out everything in Brawl Stars.

The best strategy I can give you is to play the game and have fun – the brawler will come at some point πŸ™‚

How To Fix Lag (Bad Connection) In Brawl Stars

    brawl stars fix lag

One of the most frustrating things that can happen in Brawl Stars is lag!

If you don’t know what I mean, it’s when you’re not able to really move or shoot because the red connection icon pops up telling you that your connection is to slow.

In this short guide I want to show you what you can do if you have that problem.

    bad connection brawl stars

    What’s Lag In Brawl Stars

First of all, I want to explain you briefly what lag actually is so you understand the problem.

So everything important in Brawl Stars is handled on the Supercell servers, they have all the information about your account and during a match, they will also control everything that happens – you can see your phone/tablet as nothing else than the visual output and input of information.

You put information in (that’s your actions) and get information back (that’s visually what’s going on right now) – all positions and actions only get executed when the Supercell server get them.

I know it’s technical but please stick to me, it’s important and you will really use this info.

So, if you do an action, like shooting or walking around, this will get send to the server that will recognize that and let all the other players’ devices know what you just did so they see that you’re walking.

When you look how fast-paced matches in Brawl Stars can be, you understand how fast this all needs to happen – and normally this happens in the matter of just a few milliseconds so you don’t really see a delay between your action and when the screen shos that action, right?

As long as all devices send their data simultaniously the match is even and all players can continue playing – but what if not?!

Lag is nothing else than a bigger delay in information from your device compared to the other ones – this means your device will send and recieve informations slower so that by the time you get them (or do them), the game already progressed to a further point. You practically play the match in the past.

And this is the moment when your will see the red connection logo on your device.

    brawl stars lag

By the way, did you know that your connection speed is also considered heavily while matchmaking?

    How To Fix It

So you understand that lag is a problem in the connection between your device and the Supercell server you’re connected to.

To fix it, you will first need to understand where the problem exactly is.

    Your Connection

The first step is finding out if your internet connection is the problem – no matter if you#re connected via WiFi or you are on mobile internet connection (even 4G), your connection can be slow because many others use the backbone or whatever your provider uses there.

Step 1: A first and easy thing to do is switching between WiFi and mobile internet to see if that solves the problem.

    Still a problem?

Step 2: Maybe your other connection is also too slow right now, so use a ping tester just to be sure. There are many sites and apps out there that can do that for you, simply search one up (don’t want to recommend any specific).

Then look at the ping, it should be 20ms or less, then you are sure that your connection is not the problem!

PS: Just because your phone tells you you’re on 4G doesn’t mean you always get the full connection speed – if there are many others in the same cell it can still be slow as a turtle…

If your connection is the problem you will either use another one or wait/restart WiFi or whatever to get a more stable and fast connection.

If your ping is alright, then…

    Supercell Servers

There are millions of players out there and hundreds of thousands in matches right now – imagine how much load that causes to the Supercell server that has to answer and calculate all that incoming info in time.

If your connection is fine, the problem are the Supercell server or something that is on the way there – and that’s nothing you have control on.

This means, you will need to wait. Sometimes there are more player online than expected and this happens and there’s really nothing you can do about it πŸ™

    The Future

The problem with the Supercell server has been a lot bigger in the past and they have been working on the continiously in the past months – still, there will be hiccups here and there that you can’t change so rather take a break and do something else than losing a match due to lag and get heavily frustrated…

    Brawl Stars Tick Guide

    brawl stars tick guide

If you like throwers, Tick will be your choice and he’s a good condidate for taking the thrower’s crown, although he is one of the newer brawlers in Brawl Stars.

In this guide I want to show you some cool things you can do with him and how you play him right in common situations to get the most out of him.

    Tick… Tick… Let’s go.

Tick is a metal ball of barely controlled excitement and energy – explosive energy! He throws mines, and his Super makes his head detach, seek a target and explode.

Tick is slow but deals really good damage – but as a thrower you can’t be fast, right? πŸ˜‰

His biggest strength, however, is his ability to control the map. Your mini mines will spread out and cover a large area, especially when you fire more than one shot with him – this will force the opponents to go back and leave the area for your team.

how play with tick in brawl stars

His mini mines are great when it comes to how they work – if you look at Dynamike, the dynamite has a short time on the ground before exploding giving the opponent some extra time to get away. With Tick, you don’t have to be that predictable because the mines that will hit the target will immediately explode and deal their damage while the others will stay on the ground for a short time and either explode when an enemy brawler touches them or some seconds go by.

This means you will less aim for where a brawler is going to but more aim so your mines hit the brawler.

    aiming with tick in showdown

Pro Tip! If you auto aim on the energy boxes in showdown, you will automatically land 3 of your mines hitting the box. If you aim manually on the boxes you won’t in 99% of the time so use your auto aim for that πŸ˜‰

Your general game plan is always the same – you will stay in the back and use your huge area and range to cover a spot with mines.

If you will get directly attacked by an enemy brawler, especially a tank, you need to get away but you can always mine the path towards you so that brawler needs to choose to change his plans or to walk through all the mines and eat the damage to get to you πŸ™‚

flee with tick the right way

Tick’s super is also really effective to hunt down brawlers that hide somewhere in tall grass because it will automativally target them and deal massive damage – often times these brawlers are healing themselves up so you might even take them down without further ado.

tick use super to spot enemies

Simply watch the brawlers on the field and what they’re up to and you will find your perfect spot to do that move πŸ™‚

    Tick’s Role In Your Team

As being said, your role will be dealing damage from a distance and also blocking paths, especially in modes like Gem Grab, Siege or Heist.

You can actually block lanes pretty effectively and most brawlers won’t use them as long as you keep them with your mines.

You can also clear up a space that the enemy team holds and force them away by throwing your mines into that spot – that’s really useful in Gem Grab or also in Siege when the center is occupied by the enemy team.

Other than that, you don’t need to mind much more than you would with the other throwers like Dynamike and Barley and your role is pretty much the same πŸ™‚

    Brawl Stars Crow Guide

    brawl stars crow guide

Crow is one of the few legendary brawlers in Brawl Stars and has some real individual things to mind when playing him – that’s why I wanted to write a full guide about him for quite some time (but it took me a while to unlock him).

So, instead of listing you just some raw numbers and copied texts from the description, I wanted to give you insights to the mechanics on how you play Crow successfully in Brawl Stars and how you use his full potential right.

Crow fires a trio of poisoned daggers. As a Super move he leaps, firing daggers both on jump and on landing!

When talking about Crow, we talk about the brawler with the second-lowest health in Brawl Stars – and he also doesn’t deal the highest damage in the game.

Sounds like a loser brawler, right? ????Β No. In fact, he will make up for that with the highest speed and also a good range combined with poisoning his targets that will tick them down and – most importantly – keep them from healing.

If you would force me to wrap all of my experience with Crow into one single sentence, I’d say that you Crow will always put enemies under pressure and grinds them down while he can dodge and evade excellently from enemy brawlers. That’s basically it.

You have your speed as your best weapon and this makes Crow so strong because you can get yourself easy out of difficult situations, win close-range wall hiding battles (one brawler on each side) where you can always get your opponent if you want to.

    how to play crow

Also, Crow work great for hunting down thrower brawlers like Barley or Dynamike because you can easily evade the dynamite/bottles with your speed and catch them or jump with your super over a wall to get them – there’s basically no chance to get away from you for them.

So, if you play Crow, you have to be patient and accept the fact that you will hunt down other brawlers over a longer period in 1-on-1 situations and not straight walk into them – your health will show you that this is no good idea and there’s no way you’ll survive a close-range 1-on-1 with almost all other brawlers in Brawl Stars.

    using crows super

So, be patient, hit them whenever you can while dodging their shots and keeping your poison on them so they don’t heal back up – that’s what you do with Crow πŸ™‚

Talking about his super… many brawlers use their super to make a strong attempt on other brawlers. In my opinion Crow’s super is useful in two ways:

    1. To jump walls to hunt down throwers (that’s an 1-on-1 close combat you will win)
    2. Give the other brawlers the kiss of death when you have grinded their health earlier

So, your super is what you need to finally take a brawler down and it will be ready because you will be hitting them a lot more often to get their health down to the point where your super will be strong enough to take them down.

Do not load up your super to jump into the action and hope to take out a brawler just like that – this is the way when you will go down because some brawler can take you out with two shots easily!

    Crow’s Role In Your Team

One of the best modes for Crow is single showdown where you have long 1-on-1 situations where you have the time to slowly take down the opponents life until finishing him off while being able to go away fast when a situation gets too hard to deal with (e.g. other brawlers join the situation).

Also, you will reveal the position of brawlers in tall grass when you have your poison on them, giving other brawlers the option to take them out.

In team modes, like Brawl Ball where Crow is also very good, you have actually two uses:

    1. Keeping the tanks under pressure by running away from them while keeping your poison on them to keep them from healing
    2. Quickly take down (assassinate) single brawlers with your super no matter if they hide behind walls or not

If you stick to that role, your team will become a lot stronger.

    How Good Is Crow?

Star Points In Brawl Stars – How To Get Them Faster

    brawl stars star points guide

With Star Points, Brawl Stars introduced a whole new system that mainly focus those players that play in the higher trophy range and looking for long-term motivation other than climbing the ladder as high as possible.

In this guide I’d like to show you all you need to know about Star Points plus some tips how you can get more of them.

What Are Star Points In Brawl Stars?

Star Points are awarded when you are successful with your brawlers and can be traded for exclusive skins.

    brawl stars star skins

individual trophy count in brawl stars for matchmakingEach brawler has an individual trophy count in Brawl Stars that reflects how much and how well you are playing with this brawler – the more you play a brawler the higher that count (if not, you’re doing something wrong πŸ˜› )

So far you can reach Rank 20 with a brawler by gaining 500 trophies with him/her and that’s it – there was no other connection to that individual trophy count than in the cause of matchmaking.

From now on, each individual trophy you will have above 500 will give you 1 Star Point at the end of the season.

These Star Points can then be converted in the shop in the Star Point section for exclusive skins (and maybe more in the future).

There’s no other way to get these Star Points than getting these individual trophy counts as high above 500 as you can.

You will also get additional Star Points when you reach a certain rank on a brawler for the first time:

    • Rank 10: 100 Star Points
    • Rank 15: 200 Star Points
    • Rank 20: 300 Star Points

There’s no way to get them for real money or in any other way so this is a purely skill (and time) based currency that reflects how well youΓ„re doing in Brawl Stars.

How To Get More Star Points?

Some skins right now cost up to 50,000 Star Points (although others are already available for 500 Star Points) so you need to to farm them in some way, right?

The only way to gain them is earning trophies above the individual 500 trophy count (that’s also where all your brawlers will get reset to once a new season starts).

Well, the only valid strategy is to start playing multiple brawlers and level them up so you have more brawlers that will give you Star Points at the end of the season.

Play Multiple Brawlers For More Star Points

Remember, it’s a lot easier to get 5 brawlers to 600 trophies than one brawler to 1,000 trophies, simply because matchmaking will match you up with stronger (or in the case of 1,000 trophies probably the best ones) players – and the stronger they are the more difficult it is for you to get the victory.

Both examples will give you 500 Star Points at the end of the season.

get star points in brawl stars

    Unlock The Rank Rewards

Unlocking Rank 10, 15 and 20 for a brawler will also give you a nice amount of Star Points – getting a new brawler lower Rank 10 to Rank 20 means 600 Star Points in total, that’s a lot!

So I can only recommend you to pick those brawlers that you already maxed or that are relatively close to max level and start using them more frequently to get them to 500 Trophies.

This also means you have an additional brawler that you can use in the next season to get some more Star Points.

Important! Ranking up a brawler that has Rank 10 to Rank 20 is a lot easier than getting a brawler from 500 trophies to 700 trophies and it will reward a lot more Star Points, so use this as the first step for as many brawler as possible!

    Brawl Stars Tara Guide

Tara is one of the most complex brawlers in Brawl Stars and I had quite a tough start with her, to be honest. Nevertheless I did invest some time to play her more and more and with every match I played, I started liking her more and more.

Now it’s time for me to wrap all my experience into this guide here to help you master your gameplay with Tara.

Tara’s triple tarot card attack pierces through enemies. Her Super is a black hole that sucks in all nearby enemies, causing damage!

If you need to describe Tara in a short sentence it would be – Tara has average speed, hitpoints, attack and range but her super is so strong it makes her outstanding strong.

Sounds good? Indeed, it is πŸ˜‰

It’s not easy to start off with Tara, I already mentioned that. For me it was hard to define her role because she can deal area damage, has some solid distance but dies quickly, is not very fast nor deals a lot of damage with her basic attacks.

Her basic attack has some value but wah card only deals around 500 damage so you need to be close to really shredd an enemy brawler – but close-combat brawlers will take you down in that situation.

    tara basic attack

The secret key to unlock all her power is using her super the right way!

Her super will drag together all enemy brawlers that are in the area to one single point and deal normal damage to them – that’s already nice.

But the best part is the one where you place her super on a spot where you can suddenly fire three shots off you will be able to take out almost any brawler instantly (except the ones like Bull, El Primo, Rosa etc.)

And this is what your life with Tara in Brawl Stars will be like… you will load up your super and wait until you have fully reloaded. Up to that time you don’t play too aggressively or get yourself in tough spots, you always wait for that very moment and then you’re ready to take down an entire team.

I personally like to use her basic attack to keep enemies from regenerating or scouting bushes with the range until I have her super loaded up.

how to use tara super in brawl stars

Wait until more than one brawler are in an area where you can drag them together with your gravity hole and walk toward them and fire your auto aim off with all three shots you have – and normally that’s it, they’re gone πŸ™‚

So again, charge your super (take your time if you need to), wait until you have fully reloaded and then drop your super. Suddenly after having your super released, run towards the point where you have your super and spam your auto!

    Tara’s Role In Your Team

With the above in mind it’s obvious that Tara will shine in teams.

You can use her in showdown but it’s not that easy to play her there because you will have to deal with brawlers that have either a long range or brawlers with a lot of hitpoints that will survive your strong gravity attack.

Also in Heist and Siege I don’t like playing her that much because she will be in trouble against the short-ranged brawlers all the time and can’t deal massive damage to the safe to get you a big advantage.

But she will shine a lot brighter in Brawl Bawl and Gem Grab!

Brawl Bawl: You can use her super to isolate single opponents to create 2-v-3 situations or just drag the enemy team together to take it down. You also have the option to use your super on the enemy brawler that has the ball to just separate him/her from the ball and prevent getting a goal.

Gem Grab: She’s perfect to hunt the enemy gem carrier down and there’s no way to evade her super when you use it on him and take him out. This is tough for the enemy team and they need to make their gem carrier completely passive which leads to an advantage for your team. Another great thing is that you can protect your own gem carrier in a tough situation with her super πŸ™‚
